While Birmingham is not super large, there is a density of population that this Covid event has shown is a potential for danger that is not what was considered the norm. Add in the high cost of living(I can own a 3500 sf house with pool and acreage for less than renting a 1700sf condo). Add in the remote office feature that before, my company was hesitant to even look at and now has embraced. Plus I am still close enough to the features I love about this city namely the food and breweries.
Who wouldn't want to live at the BEACH !
