After 20 years in the city, we’ve made the decision to move home to the country. My role was made redundant (advertising) and it’s time to pack up my little fam (husband and toddler) and move home. My husband works as a groundsman at a golf course and should be able to get work 🤞🏼 But he is nervous as he’s been in his current job for over 10 years. We are looking forward to the space and support from my family - the city just isn’t fun when you can’t go out and explore it and it’s time to set some new (non corporate) goals in life. I’m responding to this survey because I want to know I’m not the only one deciding to do this!!
Given the current state of everything on US soil and what is bound to happen as we progress through 2020, I have a feeling it won’t be pretty. Pulling the plug on living in the US and moving abroad to hopefully gain a better life balance.
Education - I'm going to theological college- we're not really keen on living in the city and the plan is to move back to the country after my four year course is done. I've never lived in a big city before. The biggest place I've lived was Armidale NSW (25K people).
