Its cheaper here and there are far less tech douchebags running around plus the outdoor scene is out of this world!

Well it wasn't necessarily due to Covid, Providence just isn't the city of opportunity in both career and monetary aspects. After graduating from an overpriced and under student aid awarding university, 95% of my class left (rightfully so) for greener pastures, as the average salaries here with a masters degree couldn't even pay back a year of school before taxes. None the less covid shifting my current position to a 'work at home' situation, and the economy tanking my partners small business (which of course the bail outs won't really be helping businesses of this size) declined and so the time frame shifted from a reasonable paced move to, well maybe this is the time. Of course now you have a lot of better/well paid city dwellers fleeing (and now working from home) to these same areas, which years ago wouldn't even been a remote consideration, driving up competition for a market where sellers are skittish and pulling properties off... But I mean it will be cool to have a millennial techy neighbor making 5 times more than me in their rural mansion while I squander in the over priced former servants shack that I bought with out land and an easement to use my own driveway so I can redeliver all their amazon prime and food deliveries that constantly get dropped off at my house by accident .Anyway I am only half kidding and to busy to really try and make it as funny as I would like.

huge appreciation in Toronto but crumbling city services and underfunded transit. Time to triple our space within a 45 minute train commute.

Might not be actually in 6 months since our current lease goes for 8 more but my wife would have us move to Vermont tomorrow if I'd consent.
