The difference between the two counties is STAGGERING. My current one is very red, very anti-mask, very 'murica and religious (Mormon). The other is outside a ski town, populated with people who've fled big cities for an outdoorsy life (far bluer). They are kind, compassionate and look after one another. Masks are everywhere. It's mind-blowing how different the two places are when barely any miles separate them. I have two tween boys and a coparent, so for now I'm stuck in this country, but my sights are on Spain, Malaysia, and several other community-generic places. I'm a ghostwriter who's always worked from "home," now that I'm homeschooling (apparently) there's no reason to stay within 10 minutes of their school. (And they learn more in the wild anyway!!)
