Memphis is unfortunately one of the most crime infected cities in the US. The education system ranks one of the lowest in the country and racism is at an all time high. If you have children and care about their future, you cannot raise them in that sort of environment. Virginia is rich with culture and history, has beautiful beaches and mountains, and nationally ranked schools. You have quick access to so much along the eastern seaboard. It's a no-brainer for our family.
