This survey lacked a question to capture those of us who have already made the move, so I answered the questions above as if we hadn't moved yet. A move to be closer to my in-laws had been in the medium-term plan for a while, but covid got us concerned about a housing crash, so we pulled the trigger in mid-April, were lucky to sell our house quickly, and moved to a farm in the country about 10 miles outside of a town of 10k. Of course, we were in quite a small city (50k) to begin with, but the general uncertainty around the outlook for public health and the economy has us very content to be 1) in the middle of nowhere and 2) renting for the time being.
