My wife and I grew up in the midwest and moved to South Florida 11 years ago. We have since started a young family (our oldest is 5) and dont want to raise kids in the dense urban environment of South Florida. Our goal is to move out west, Denver or bust, before the end of the year. COVID has made the job switch process a little more difficult (I work in software sales), but we are confident the move will eventually happen.
Interest rates are super low, and want convenience of outdoors
Though i have a great job in NYC and own my own apt, it's extremely pricey and quality of life has dwindled. Don't feel as safe.
We want to be closer to our family. Both our families are on the East coast, either in New England or Florida. We left Florida for work (my wife was hired by Amazon, now with Microsoft). But after 7 years, we felt a bit isolated out here in Seattle, so it’s time to go home.
